What is a Mobile Alert Device?

These devices operate using a cellular network and are completely self-contained and wireless. More importantly, they are able to provide enhanced safety and security to a lone worker in any situation. These units are also commonly referred to as Mobile PERS, MPERS, Cellular PERS or Wireless PERS.

mEARS – Mobile Employee Alert Response System

LIBRIS is a cellular mobile pendant that allows the user to continue with normal routines and yet remain connected to the safety and security of Emergency Response if ever needed.  Utilizing the AT&T cellular network, LIBRIS features both GPS and ‘Location Based Service’ technologies as well as Advanced Fall Detection.

Libris enables two-way communication to our operations center, even from remote locations and harsh environments. It provides hands-free voice calls in the event of a fall, allowing both the lone worker and the employer to know that they are never truly alone in the field. Advanced GPS and locating services are housed in a rugged casing make the Libris durable in the event of hard falls or even water submersion.

Libris mPERS Features

The Libris Employee Alert Response System meets the challenges of employers monitoring lone workers. Regardless of the risk the job presents, 24-hour emergency communication can provide enhanced safety to those working alone.

Lone workers exist in nearly every industry:

    • • Hotel and Other Service Industry Workers
    • • Electrical and Telephone Wire Workers
    • • Real Estate Agents
    • • In-Home Care Givers
    • • Manufacturing Workers
    • • Private Contractors
    • • Environmental Inspectors
    • • Security Guards

No Installation

Your Libris will arrive completely set-up and ready to use. The device is pre-configured, and does not require any on-site installation.

Easy to use, easy to charge, the built-in speaker and microphone allows our operator to speak directly with the lone worker in the event the system is activated.  Simple one button operation, or automatic fall device activation, will put the person in contact with our operations center staff.

Lightweight and Discreet yet packing a PUNCH

The Libris mEARS can be worn on a belt or on a lanyard under clothes for easy and hidden accessibility. Its rugged Casing allows for greater durability with shatter resistance up to 6’ and water submersion up to 3’ for 30 minutes. (IK06 and IP67 ratings).

Why Consider a Mobile Alert System?

LIBRIS will work great anywhere there is sufficient cell coverage.  At the push of a button, help is at the lone workers’ finger tips.  Simply press the button for 2 seconds and the LIBRIS will vibrate and connect the lone worker to our operations center.

Mobile Employee Alert Response System with Advanced Fall Detection

Using four different sensors built into the pendant, LIBRIS’ advanced automatic fall detection fall detection analysis can accurately determine if a fall has occurred and automatically contact our operations center for the lone worker.

Note: No system can ever accurately detect 100% of fall events, regardless of what is advertised.  There is no perfect substitution for pushing the button.

Location, Location, Location

If need be – and only in the case of emergency – location can be determined using the GPS and/or Location Based Service coordinates of your LIBRIS pendant.  Help can then be sent to the lone worker – where they are.

As with all location-based services, it may not always be possible to determine your location. Multi-level buildings, parking garages, and even dense urban areas can make it difficult for satellites and cell phone towers to locate your exact location. In an emergency, please provide our operator with as much information as possible about your location.

Note: LIBRIS is a cellular device. As with all cellular devices, for proper operation, adequate cellular coverage is required. Poor cellular coverage may result in the inability to place a call or automatically detect a fall.
