Wander Prevention & Tracking System

If you’re the caregiver for an aging parent with Alzheimer’s disease or any of the other forms of dementia, or a child or adult with special needs, you’re under a lot of stress. The fear that the person might wander off is probably never far from your mind.

Towne Tracking Service offers a technologically-advanced wander prevention and tracking system that will give you peace of mind. You’ll be able to determine the exact location of your loved one at any time of day or night.

Wander Preventing & Tracking System Components

Our system consists of a state-of-the-art GPS-enabled cellular wristwatch and portable RF (radio frequency) receiver. The watch features a lockable strap to secure it to the individual’s wrist. It also serves as a fully functioning digital wristwatch, which can make it feel more natural for your loved one to wear. The watch is water-resistant and scratch-proof, ensuring it will continue to function in challenging weather and environmental conditions.

How Do Our Special Needs/Alzheimer’s Wandering Devices Work?

Our wandering prevention tracking systems are so easy to use.

One would begin by adjusting the RF receiver’s “safe zone” for the appropriate distance (indoor range is 105 feet while the maximum outdoor range is 255 feet). If the person wanders beyond the pre-set range, the watch will send an instant alert to the receiver and automatically convert to cellular GPS tracking mode.

This will enable you to track the individual’s movements and location with your smartphone or computer.

Providing a Seamless Integration of People and Technology

Our wander prevention and tracking systems exemplify our ability to combine human intervention with cutting-edge technology. Our team will work closely with you to create an individualized alert protocol that meets your unique needs.

We also implement multiple lines of communication to ensure a timely response to all alerts. All our equipment includes backup units for redundancy and remains under around-the-clock electronic supervision. We’ve also installed two emergency generators to ensure a continuous power supply and alleviate concerns regarding system failures.
