So you are thinking about joining our team – well there’s a couple things that we’ll need to know…..

        • Do you live less than 20 miles from our office?
        • Do you have access to reliable transportation?
        • Are you available to work at least one weekend shift?
        • Are you willing to work a shift every other holiday?
        • Are you looking for something more than a temporary job?

We are currently seeking applicants for part-time or full-time hours on all three shifts. 

We have flexible shift times and can most often accommodate your schedule.  With a generous starting rate, and skill/job increases and differentials, we think its a pretty great place to be!  PTO, company matched retirement, health & dental benefits for employees working 30+ hours/wk …… even your very own key fob!

You should know that this is NOT a ‘customer service’ position.  We are a 24/7/365 call center and we NEVER close.  While prior customer service experience may potentially help you become a great operator, it is certainly not a prerequisite to your employment here.  Prior call taking experience is helpful for sure.  Please know that we are not an outbound call center and this is not a tele-sales company.

Being an Answering Operator

Towne Answering Service handles inbound voice calls from a variety of sources.  From Medical Offices and Veterinarians, to Service Companies and Contractors, to Professional Offices and Municipalities, and anything inbetween.

Of course we answer their calls, but we also schedule appointments for them, collect and distribute information, dispatch technicians, relay and patch calls, etc, etc.

Following scripted procedures, an operator is able to engage each account with customized service. 

We certainly are NOT just picking up the phone and saying ‘Hello’.

Being a Monitoring Operator

Towne Monitoring Service provides Alarm Monitoring to a variety of customers and needs.  From Fire and Burglar Alarms, to Personal Emergency Response Systems (PERS), to Elevator Monitoring and Care Calls, there’s a little bit of every aspect associated with this end of the business.

All of our operators are trained to Answer voice calls, and as you progress through that training we introduce Alarm Monitoring to most.

This is a specialized responsibility and with it comes an increase in your hourly rate as well.  It may sound intimidating, but our MOPs (Monitoring Operators) would tell you that once you get your feet wet, its actually pretty easy!
